Farrah Fawcett started her career as a model in Corpus Christi, Texas. She began her acting career in Texas and was based in Corpus Christi. Additionally, she's been in television shows including I Dream of Jeannie and The Flying Nun. Her first film appearance was as a support in the French film titled 'Love is A Funny Thing.' She was internationally recognized for her red swimsuit pin-up, which was the highest-selling poster ever. Over the next few years, she appeared on many other TV shows and films that helped establish her in the world of sex as a famous figure. In the popular crime drama show Charlie's Angels, she played the role of a detective. The show centered around three women in Los Angeles who work in an agency for detectives. Apart from playing glamorous characters as well, she was also known for her dramatic performances such as the character of a battered woman in the TV movie 'The Burning Bed.' She was ranked as number 26 on TV Guide's '50 Greatest TV celebrities of all time'. At the age of 59, she was found to be having anal cancer. She died 3 years following.
