Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American performer and actress. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), Nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. Her parents are of Polish descent (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen realized her potential within the industry of entertainment at a young age. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell's mom enrolled her with an agency just before her 13th birthday. She then appeared in television advertisements as well as newspaper advertisements. In addition, Bell started taking classes in acting privately. Bell had a small uncredited performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music and drama clubs. She was a part of Dorothy in the production for high school that was The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended The Tisch School of the Arts which she attended to study Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. The year 2001 was the time Bell quit her university in order to perform the part in the role of Becky on Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. But the film cut her character from the film and her appearance was only on the screen credits. Bell was in Broadway for the first time in The Crucible, a revival that featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
